“Resilience: what you fear most is what makes you stronger!”
Talk 1 and podcast recording – 8 July, 8:00 pm
Conversation, talk and podcast recording with Dr Annamária Kádár, István Vörös and their guest, Hesna Al Ghaoui
Psychology defines resilience as our personality’s flexible ability to adapt – which comes in very handy when life is stressful. And whose isn’t? That is why the hosts of the És boldogan éltek (And they lived happily ever after) podcast, Dr Annamária Kádár and István Vörös, have chosen to discuss how we can become more resilient – in other words, how we can learn to “surf the waves between stress and calm”. After all, “the more consciously we start to surf, the more moments of success brighten our tense states”, says the evening’s guest, the podcast’s regular contributor Hesna Al Ghaoui, journalist, author and resilience trainer. Join them!

“Shadow work: in the service of your personal growth”
Talk 2 – 10 July, 8:00 pm
Conversation and talk with Dr Annamária Kádár and István Vörös
The opposite of life’s sunny side: Carl Gustav Jung created the concept of the shadow in the psychological sense. It covers the part of ourselves that we cannot accept. Every time we torment ourselves or hurt others, we create shadow material. However, if we openly face our fears and our hidden side, we can work out what feeds the shadow side and do something about it. What once filled us with fear can, over time, work in our favour. It is serious self-discovery work – but the good news is that you can take the first steps through the conversation of the …és boldogan éltek duo, Dr Annamária Kádár and István Vörös.

Sors és önismeret – Belső erőforrásaink felfedezése (Fate and self-knowledge – Discovering our inner resources)
People are often a mystery, even to themselves: they think something different from what they feel, say something different from what they think, and do something different from what they say. Tracking down our true inner motivations is a lifelong adventure, full of discoveries that are sometimes liberating, sometimes confusing and painful.
